PURDY IN MINK

Check out this 4-year-old red roan mare, Vegas. She’s by Metallic Rey Mink, a 2016 red roan stallion who earned $205,224 in his career, highlighted by winning the 2019 NCHA Open Futurity. He’s sired offspring that have earned over $2 million so far, producing competitive horses in cutting and other cow horse events.  Vegas is a really nice filly with about 90 days of riding on her. She’s dead gentle with a puppy dog personality—super friendly and easy to be around. This spring she’s been dragging calves to the branding fire and doing a lot of doctoring work the last month. She’s been used outside on the ranch, crosses water without issue, and handles whatever you point her at. She rates a cow really well and we’ve started her lightly roping out of the box. She’s built nice but could use a little more weight right now. Overall, she’s a solid young mare with a great attitude and a good start on real ranch work.
