Bill

Bill is a safe, sweet, forgiving, and versatile gelding with a solid foundation and a build that's made to last. He's been our go-to partner for the past 6 years, and selling him wasn't in the plan—but our goals have shifted toward more competitive team penning and ranch sorting, and Bill deserves a home where he'll shine in his next chapter. He's been used primarily for team penning and ranch sorting. He enjoys chasing cows and is willing to work, but he isn't naturally the strongest cow horse. Outside the pen, he's been on countless trail rides with riders of all experience levels. He's quiet in the arena and on the trail, but happily steps up when asked to work. Bill has a light mouth and is naturally a little wiggly, so while I consider him beginner/kid safe, he's best with a rider who can use their legs and keep him pointed in the right direction. He would make an excellent ranch horse, rope horse prospect, or versatile all-around partner. He has a great foundation and is ready for a second career. Selling as grade (I do have photos of his parents' papers from the original owner, who I believe bred him). He's an easy keeper, loads well, stands for the farrier, and ties well, though he'll fidget a bit if his buddies leave. We've done minimal preventative maintenance (alternating-year hock/stifle injections and occasional bodywork) during heavy competition seasons to keep him comfortable. He passed a clean lameness exam this spring with no issues. PPE welcome at buyer's expense. A great home is a must—Bill is a sweet, honest horse who always tries his best and deserves a family that will enjoy him as much as we have.
