Description
Hollywood Mobster (AKA “Al Capone”) is a truly exceptional gelding—one of those rare, once-in-a-lifetime horses that combines talent, temperament, and proven experience.
This stunning 6-year-old AQHA buckskin gelding is sired by NRHA Million Dollar Sire MF Mobster and out of a granddaughter of the legendary Hollywood Dun It. With this kind of pedigree and the ability to match, Al Capone represents the total package for the ranch riding and all-around equine enthusiast.
For the past two years, Al Capone has been thoughtfully owned, carefully maintained, and treated as part of the family. Due to unforeseen life changes, his owner has made the difficult decision to offer him for sale. During his time with her, he has been hauled extensively, shown successfully, and enjoyed group trail rides—including beach rides along the East Coast.
Al Capone offers a standout show record throughout the 2024–2025 seasons in Ranch Riding, along with experience in Ranch Trail, Ranch Conformation, and Ranch Reining. He has been successfully shown by both amateur and youth riders, all while being maintained at home—no full-time show barn program required.
What truly sets him apart is his disposition. At just six years old, he demonstrates an exceptional level of maturity and rideability. He naturally adjusts to his rider—whether that’s a youth rider needing a steady, confidence-building partner or a more advanced rider looking to access his full athletic ability. He is soft, responsive, and uncomplicated, transitioning easily off leg, seat, or voice.
Under saddle, Al Capone is as versatile as they come. He is quiet and forgiving for less experienced riders, offering a more “push-style” ride, yet he is equally capable of stepping up—loping off a kiss, executing clean transitions, lead changes and showcasing a correct, composed spin. His foundation in a professional reining program is evident in his balance, body control, and overall feel.
Outside of the arena, he is equally impressive. Al Capone handles all ranch trail obstacles, including gates, logs, and dragging work, and can be ridden one- or two-handed. He has also been exposed to extreme obstacle courses and cattle sorting.
If you’re searching for a dependable, user-friendly horse that is both competitive and enjoyable, Al Capone checks every box. He is easy to manage, excellent to catch (meets you at the gate), loads and hauls with ease, and enjoys attention.
He is sound, well-maintained, and up to date on all care. He stands quietly for the farrier and vet, requires no intensive maintenance program, and has been kept on a consistent preventative care routine. A recent PPE and X-rays are on file and available for review. He is also 5-Panel N/N.
