Description
Snowslip is a coming 5-year-old, 14.2h, GHRA-Registered Gypsy Vanner gelding. (GHRA: DGR PV #AB00003642) Wearing a black magic hat and sporting a glorious double mane (full mane on both sides), this beauty is ready for the show ring. He has a traditional cob build, boasting SD lines on top and bottom, and has all the spirit and athleticism that a true cob possesses. Snowslip has been a part of our herd since the beginning of last autumn, and in that time, we’ve had the pleasure of watching him grow warm, friendly, and confident.
Out at the ranch and on the trails, Snowslip is calm and brave – not fazed by new surroundings, he’ll ride around on a relaxed rein and stand quietly while you chat with your friends. He’s a happy little trail horse.
In the arena, Snowslip is all business. He is forward-moving, performance-driven, incredibly responsive to leg pressure, light in the bridle, and in tune with his rider. He has a beautiful, natural collection. His trot is easy to sit, and his lope is super fun to ride – he has a big motor and is fancy broke with all the buttons. If you’re in the market for a gypsy that could excel in Western or English dressage, he is an excellent candidate. We have also started him lightly over fences, and he seemed to thoroughly enjoy it! (see his very first jump day in his full video)
Snowslip is a special, talented horse that seeks trust and connection with his person. We believe he would excel with a committed and consistent riding partner. Now and then, he will have a quirky cob moment, but he has never offered anything naughty; he just gets a little nervous. He is best suited for a confident rider.
Snowslip is quiet on the ground, loads and unloads with ease, stands peacefully for the farrier, and is to be clipped, bathed, and braided. He is an easy keeper, currently on a forage-only diet, and is quiet in the herd, falling near the bottom of the pecking order. He is sound, UTD, and has freshly floated teeth. PPE on file. Located in Jacksboro, TX. Text or call Courtney Maddux anytime with your questions – I’d love to tell you more about this very cool gelding.
Tiny Pony Co. rider is 5’6 for reference.
