“Pumpkin” – 14-Year-Old Registered Dun Mare (Elise Leo Doll) Pumpkin is a 14 year old dun mare, approximately 15.2, with a solid foundation, some ranch-style background and broodmare potential. She foaled her first colt in 2024, unassisted, and was a great mother, easy to handle the whole way through. She’s a cowboy’s horse deluxe. Started, trained, and used by some handy guys. She’s got plenty of buttons, is sensitive, moderately light, and mostly willing. Best suited for someone experienced, confident and light-handed. She likes to have a job and does best with purpose. She’s been ridden in the mountains, pushed cows, has done some ranch roping, and has drug some calves. Pumpkin has a good disposition and is sweet, will come hang out with you but isn’t overly in your pocket. She’s got the boss mare attitude, but gets along well enough with other mares and geldings. She’s been handled on the ground by my young daughter (leading, brushing, groundwork), but I’m not advertising her as a kids horse. Decent with her feet and good for the vet. If she sits for an extended period of time she can get fresh, but with a good refresh you can get along with her just fine. She has a few quirks, happy to go over those with serious buyers. She does require some maintenance, also willing to discuss with serious buyers. Would make a solid broodmare or continue on in light to moderate ranch work. Located in Bigfork, MT
