Kind, willing, and exceptionally smart, he combines a gentle disposition with a powerhouse physique. Clarke has been shown in both the cow horse and VRH arenas. He has dragged calves to the fire and trailed many miles behind cattle through rough terrain. Started right and exposed to every job on the ranch, he's just as happy being a trail horse as he is stepping up and heading to the show pen. He has a delightful spin, stops hard and straight, and has his flying lead changes. Give him permission, and he'll run down a cow anytime. Clarke rides one-handed in the bridle, yet he's equally content easing around bareback or swimming through the watering hole in a halter. This is the kind of horse you can teach a maneuver to and have it mastered in the same ride. He's the first to meet you in a big pasture, genuinely enjoys having a job, and is truly the same horse whether you ride him once a day or once a year.
