Ben is an all around good citizen. She's built like a tank, has practical self carriage, and is the steady eddy favorite to work with both on the ground and under saddle. Her manners are impeccable, the one the farrier saves till last because she stands like a tree and has all the patience in the world. No vices, except maybe laziness when you want to do something low-key. Takes vaccines out in a pasture herd un-caught. Super easy to catch in general. She'll stay well mannered with time off, she's had up to 6 months down time and hardly even needs those few circles to lope down and be ready for legging up. She's ponied a short pack string up the mountain, carried ~60+ year old beginners in an arena helping teach the very basics. Been the go-to stand in for anyone who needs a horse gatgering cows or just a trail ride. Rides nice bareback with a single line lead rope - hop on from the ground - has done the noisy, nighttime Christmas season rides through downtown Cody without an ear flick. A handy one to mess around roping, she'll track a cow like nobody's business, and has the patience to stand if you have no idea how to rope and you want to sit there and mess around with it. She will get a little antsy in the box, no rear or spook, just *really* ready to go. High in the pecking order but not dirty about it. Confident beginner safe; she's mild mannered but absolutely has a motor if you ask for it. Beautiful one hand or all leg ride, hard stop, picks up her leads pretty much on her own.
