Lea

“Lea” is a 2 year old bay filly that comes from a respectable breeder than has produced numerous all around horses that can excel on the ranch or in the arena. Lea is lightly started and has extensive ground work. She lunges both directions, stands to be saddled and unsaddled and has been ground drove. She has had someone lay across her back but has not had an official ride as of yet. She stands quietly for the farrier, loads and unloads easily and is well mannered and quiet when standing tied. Water does not bother her. Lea is a smart filly that picks things up quickly and retains what you’ve taught her. She can be a bit harder to catch in a larger pen/pasture but gets easier every time she is caught. While she is grade and unable to be registered, a good bit of her blood lines are known with her going back to a stud called ‘HUNKY TONK’ on the bottom side and ‘WILLOWS JET JOE’ on the top side. Half and full siblings to this filly have been successful on the ranch and in the rodeo arena, excelling in both the team roping and barrel racing. With a little time this filly could be a super star in the rodeo arena. She will continue to be worked with daily till sold. Her first ride is likely to happen in the next few days and once riding she will be used on the ranch checking pastures. Located in western South Dakota but we have the ability to get her to Missouri, Kansas, Texas or Oklahoma fairly easily.
