Zips Chocolate Moon

Zip is a very kind, loving, and sweet gelding. He is 15.2 hands and loves attention. I have used him mainly for trail riding as well as packing. He does well in an arena, but isn't fancy broke. Not for a beginner as he can sometimes be mildly spooky and doesn't have the best confidence in himself, so I'd recommend a confident rider. That being said, I have led my young grandchildren around on him, but I wouldn't put a new rider on and send them off by themself. He is great to go out on a trail or even cruise around the arena. I have greatly enjoyed riding him and only looking for a new home for him because he needs a rationed, low-starch diet. Due to the nature of our business, we have to free feed our horses at times, and that is not suitable for Zip. I typically leave him barefoot, except in the late summer and fall when I know I'll be taking him in rockier terrain. He does have some mild arthritis in his front left, but I easily still average 3 mile rides two to three times a week in the mountains with no trouble. I try to balance exercise with rest to keep from medicating him and it seems to work very well. Zip really is a sweet boy who could bring someone much joy and has lots of life left in him. His personality will constantly make you smile. I have some first person POV videos from my trail rides that I can send upon request.
