BONUS PROPOSAL "Atlas" | 2021 APHA Sorrel Gelding | 16.3 Hands Meet Atlas a big, handsome 2021 model (5 year old) АРНА sorrel gelding standing 16.3 hands. Atlas is the definition of an in your pocket personality. Friendly, affectionate, easygoing, and always happy to see you. He was started in the western pleasure, but with his size, long legs, and beautiful trot, he has all the makings of a standout hunt seat prospect. As a yearling, Atlas was shown in halter and earned Reserve Futurity Champion at the 2022 Virginia Color Classic. Under saddle, he has a solid foundation with a good understanding of giving his face, a very nice trot, correct spin both directions, a nice backup, side pass, and will ride around one or two handed. His lope is still green, but he is naturally lazy and willing, making him a fun DIY project for someone wanting to finish one their own way. He has been hauled around, handles new environments well, and isn't one to get spooky or spend his time looking for something to worry about. While he has plenty of potential to head into the hunter world, he would be just as happy spending his days as a big, handsome trail horse. He trail rides like a pro and absolutely loves it! He will head up and down the road, handle traffic, dogs, kids, and the woods without making a fuss. He is an easygoing, enjoyable guy to have around. He stands in the cross ties to be groomed and loved on, loads and unloads from the trailer, and has solid enough feet to go barefoot. Although I keep 4 shoes on all my horses when in consistent work. One of his coolest party tricks is especially handy for a 16.3 hand horse, stand on something, snap your fingers, and Atlas will sidepass right over to you so you can climb aboard! Atlas does have a scar on his right hind hock, but it does not affect him in any way; he does not palpate sensitive to it and is 100% sound.
