Red Roan Roy

“Roy” is a 15 hands, good as they come, all-around family ranch horse. This gelding is easy to catch, stands for shoeing, loads, hauls, bathes, and is an easy keeper. Friendly, meet-you-at-the-gate type. This gelding is gentle - he’s had plenty of hours of young kids in the saddle, and is patient. At 8 years old, he has a solid foundation of experience and training. He has a mild personality, but will get up and go when you ask. He has great breeding, foundation, and overall temperament. He has covered country, gathered and moved cows on the mountain, been roped off of, and will pull with heart. He'll move off of leg pressure to side pass. A lift of the reins and he'll stop hard. Can be ridden with or without spurs. Has been ridden in the hackamore and snaffle. He has a smooth lope, can cover country at a trot, and can slow down and travel at a walk as directed. He's a great horse, and has been wonderful for our little family. Only selling to earn money to buy a house.
