MAEVE

“Maeve” is a 4-year old Clydesdale/Thoroughbred mare standing 16.1 She has plenty of athleticism, stamina, and real world experience! She is the kind of horse that is happy to go to work or mess around in the arena. Maeve has been used around cattle and has a big motor and endurance to put in a full day’s work. She has spent long days at the local sale yard penning cattle and has been part of a cowboy crew covering long miles through the big country of Montana! She has also been used to pasture-doctor yearlings, will work both the head and heel side, and has been to brandings. She is comfortable being put to work in a variety of settings and handles herself well. In addition to her ranch and cattle experience, Maeve has a solid foundation in the arena. She has spent time ranch riding, working on horsemanship skills, and doing dressage. She is athletic, willing, and tries hard for her rider. Maeve is a trusted trail horse and will go anywhere and through anything. She has crossed bridges, gone through water, and lets the dog ride with you or ride her double. She is comfortable going out alone and is happy being housed by herself or in a herd setting. Maeve has a lot of personality and is a fun horse to have around. She could also be suitable for someone looking for a step-up horse and has a lot to offer someone who is still growing as an equestrian. Maeve wears a size 5 shoe and stands well for the farrier. She is currently barefoot. She is a low-maintenance mare with a strong work ethic, plenty of stamina, and the versatility to be useful both in and out of the arena.
