We bought two horses for the grandkids at the February 2025 sale. Both have worked out great! The kids love them. Unfortunately, we then lost a good ranch gelding in April 2025. We attended the May, 2025 sale and bought two nice ranch geldings, price was fair and the horses have been outstanding, we have used them on various ranches all summer and fall with out a single problem. We look forward to having them around for many years.
CHS works very hard for their consignors. They market their sales very well, get buyers in the seats, and promote your horses from the time of consignment until the gavel drops. Charlotte and the girls pay close attention to your horses during the previews and throughout the day and highlight all of the things they do well when you ride into the sale ring. CHS truly works hard to make sure your horses bring their full value.
We have both bought, and sold with the Colorado Horse Sale. Charlotte and her crew run a very organized, well thought out sale venue offering a wide selection of horses and mules for many different proposes. This is a great place to be able to buy, and sell horses in a very honest, family oriented atmosphere.
The 2 day sale is absolutely perfect. I love how it gives time to walk around and see all horses, and watch them ride over 2 days. Also the preview is so important to me, it lets the sellers show the strengths of their horses. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. The auctioneer and ring helpers make sure to give you time in the ring if you are thinking, this is crucial to me.

I took a colt to the sale and had a lot of interest in him, in person and on the internet. I feel like they do a good job getting my horse advertised to the public. They always got back to me in a timely manner with questions I had about consigning my horse with them.

We love CHS! The advertising done ahead of time is great, and so is communication to the consignors. The event is well-run. The consigned horses are usually a good variety with something to interest everyone. All horses have their own web page with video and extra pictures. We’ve had a good experience both buying and selling at CHS!
